"Hello.
You've reached the direct line of Doctor Frederick Chilton. As I am not available at the moment, you might assume I'm quite busy with something pressing. State your name and business, and I will return your call."

Though, I suppose, it would have been interesting. To know if the second time around could have been harder, or easier, for you. Things left to our thoughts on the hypothetical, isn't it? Not that I'm suggesting you ought to keep yourself awake at night sweating the variables.

It's not like I want him dead. It just seems to happen. He ends up at gunpoint, and i'm always holding the gun.

Then as we lack your brother, why not turn your sure fire attention towards another individual? You are familiar with Lucifer.

We might as well choose a potential target that no one would miss, don't you agree?

Except nothing I could possibly do to Lucifer would make him disappear indefinitely. It's not like he's told me his weaknesses, even if i'm sure he's got at least one. But what, are you looking for tape recorded conversations?

You're right that literally vanquishing him isn't an option. I imagine Lucifer wouldn't take kindly to the attempt. You know how his type gets with hubris.
But perhaps there's another way. I like the way you're thinking, with conversations. That is an angle of information, a potential dagger we could wield.
He has to like someone other than Crane, right? There has to be another mortal weakness.

You want to know who comes in and out of the church? Besides the fan club, I mean. Because I can tell you that easy, but I don't know how much good it'd do. He goes to more people than they come to him and I can't exactly follow him the way he travels.

I doubt either of us believe that status quo will be held forever. And we need an inside man.

At least at home I felt like there was a purpose.

I'll have to catch myself; far be it that I underestimate you, along with everyone else.

But what's the endgame here? Knocking him down a peg just so he can get pissed off?
no subject
We both believe he will, don't we?

Don't pity them, whatever you do.
