I attempted to, yes. We had made plans, and she wasn't here.

I wouldn't complain, but mostly, I don't like counting my chickens before they're hatched. I've seen so many people come and go and come again that it seems odd not to consider the possibility.

Are you going to allow yourself to move on, or is this lack of emotional fulfillment going to haunt you -- like the others before?

What others are you talking about here? [ Tersely. He's spoken to Chilton about some of them. The ones that meant the most. Bethany, Rumiko, Whitney, hell, he'd even touched on others like Sunset Bain. He just doesn't like them being thrown back in his face. ]
