He had promised himself he wouldn't look into the Baltimore crowd until he had figured out more things about Holiday and the Porter, but if Chilton's willing to talk he's more than willing to go for it.]

As long as we take the proper measures of protection -- [which ensures fewer, if any, consequences for the doctor himself] -- then I'll find little reason for discomfort. After all, who am I to deny the investigative power of the press?
