However he handles Will is always going to be a bonus, be it positive or negative. Something she doesn't mind dipping her fingers into, but that's really just a side project she's not nearly as invested in. There are no hurt feelings here. ]
maybe you're right
i was giving you too much credit thinking you might be reacting like a human being
crane has attacked you and the girlfriend you supposedly love
dredging up both your greatest fears and making a mockery of it
he'll probably try to go after her again given the strangling attempt
i know you're planning revenge
but you're NOT emotional
so just what kind of person are you claiming to be? that just makes you possibly frightening
is turning me away now your pragmatism at it's finest, frederick?
i thought we were about to become friends

When did I ever inform you that I love Raina?
[That was a remark that drew his eyebrows into a close knit. While he was affectionate and possessive of Raina, he didn't bandy that word around. Nor was he the type of man people assumed was capable of intensely intimate emotions. Had ChÃmaira listened in on their conversations, he wondered, which would have provided relative evidence? His most honest moments with Raina had been in private, in her lab, in their house, with close acquaintances -- not in the broad daylight of the masses, in other words. Not where she could have assumed the face of anyone and woven through the crowd to eavesdrop. And most of those conversations had been in person, together.
Except one notable one.
Had she been with Raina after she had told him that she'd remain with the Watsons? If so, did ChÃmaira have a connection to the Watsons?]
Or are you projecting?
[The longer he could prolong their conversation, the more clues he could attain.]

To her, definitely, but she knew that from the beginning. ]
i said supposedly
but if you don't then you're leading the poor lady on
she wouldn't stop crying about you being killed in her car
only the thought of going to you would calm her
what a mess
i mean if that's not love then what is?
[ Isn't love just the messiest? ]
you're the one focusing on that little word
ignoring the rest that's obvious
are you really claiming not to be emotional?
i might be in your position if i had someone

What information are you interested in, anyway? You seemed bored of Crane when I had come to you before. You clearly didn't take that seriously enough.
no subject
i took him quite seriously
your presentation wasn't interesting
it was presumptuous
but that didn't mean i didn't take an interest
if assisting raina over taking our meeting wasn't already an indication of that
i agree psychiatrists are good at faking emotional control
you can't always succeed
i don't think crane is always succeeding, either
where does fear become personal for him?
i want to know where his fear started

[Which was interesting in of itself, sure, but any confidence building between them had crumbled because of that reaction and the fallout consequence -- not that the chimera could necessarily have influenced the events, granted. Nevertheless, Chilton was wary, and now he was tacit.]
What's in this for me? If you're so keen on presentation, you should know yours is lacking.
